Wilda (Hayes) Hosch was born July 23, 1940 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri and departed this life on December 22, 2015 at North Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 29 days.
She was the daughter of David Hayes and Willetta (Rolls) Hayes-Scott.
Wilda lived her early years in Pleasant Hill, Missouri and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1958. After graduation, she worked for Sears several years; where she met her husband, Robert P. Hosch. After their marriage, Wilda and Robert lived in Independence, Missouri. Due to Robert’s position with Sears, the Hosch family also lived in Mesquite, Texas, Wheaton, Illinois, and retired in San Antonio, Texas. Wilda was an active member of the Parkhill Baptist Church of San Antonio, Texas and a staunch activist and volunteer for anything that had to do with animal rescue, especially Brittany Spaniel dogs.
Wilda was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert P. Hosch on February 23, 2012; her father, David Hayes; her mother, Willetta (Rolls) Hayes-Scott and her step-father, Lail Scott.
She is survived by one son, Clint Strain of San Antonio Texas; one step-son, Gregg Hosch and wife Jenny of Chesterfield, Missouri; three grandchildren, Sara Eaves of Columbia, South Carolina, Kelly Hosch of Chicago, Illinois, Ben Hosch of St. Louis, Missouri; three cousins who she considered her sisters and brother, Margaret Johansen and Joy LaPorte, both of Athens, Georgia and Guy Rolls of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri; other relatives and many, many friends.
Funeral Service for Wilda (Hayes) Hosch will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Missouri with Guy Rolls, officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the funeral Home.

Wilda was such a wonderful cousin, & I miss her every day. Her silly laughs, her love for her fur children, & her great love for the antiques she collected.
