VIANNA LEE (Page) BAKER

Vianna Lee (Page) Baker was born December 19, 1952 in Harrisonville, Missouri and departed this life on August 11, 2024 at her home in Blue Springs, Missouri, surrounded by the love of her family, at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 23 days.

She was the daughter of Lawrence Edwin Page and Effie June (Gregg) Page.

Vianna spent her early years in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. When she was 12 years old, her family moved to Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Vianna graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1971.

On November 11, 1974, Vianna was united in marriage with Michael Ray Baker at the First Christian Church of Pleasant Hill. After their marriage they made their home in Sedalia, Missouri before moving to Lee’s Summit, Missouri in 1976. Vianna and Mike were married for 29 years before their divorce, but remained good friends.

During her marriage, Vianna worked for the I.R.S. for a few years before taking a position as a school bus driver for the Lee’s Summit School District, where she worked for 14 years. After her divorce, Vianna moved back to Pleasant Hill and attended the Pinnacle Career Institute where she obtained a medical assistant Certificate. After receiving her certificate, Vianna went to work for the Community Blood Center as a phlebotomist for 3 years until she was diagnosed with cancer. After winning her first battle with cancer, and never being one to sit idle, Vianna went to work for Casey’s in Pleasant Hill until 2019 when she and her sister, Ronda, moved to Blue Springs and she transferred to the Casey’s store there. After working for Casey’s for 10 years, Vianna changed her career path and took a position with Walmart Market Place, a job she dearly loved and the management and employees loved her. Vianna worked for Walmart Market Place until her health started to decline in 2023.

After the death of her beloved, long-time furry companion. Chloe, Vianna’s sister Ronda bought her a new fur baby, Squiggles, who was her constant companion throughout her current cancer battle.

Vianna enjoyed fishing in tournaments and attending her grandson’s baseball games. She was an avid Kansas City Chief’s fan, and was determined to see the first pre-season game of the year.

Vianna was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family and being an active part of their lives. She loved inviting her family for backyard barbecues, birthday parties and holiday get-togethers.

Vianna was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Edwin and Effie June (Gregg) Page Cusick; sister, Brenda Gregg, and her brother-in-law, Larry Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Dawn Bover and husband Craig of Lake Lotawana, Missouri; sister, Ronda Jones of Blue Springs, Missouri; grandson, Tyler Scott Bover; step-grandson, Trevor Scott Grimm; great-granddaughter, Autumn Grimm, other relatives and many friends.

As Vianna requested, cremation has been accorded.

The family of Vianna Lee (Page) Baker will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home with Chaplain Cameron McCarty officiating. Inurnment will take place at 3:00 p.m. at the Dayton Cemetery, Dayton, Missouri.
