Toni E. Donehoo

TONI ELIZABETH DONEHOO

Toni Elizabeth Donehoo was born in Austin Texas on March 31st 1965 to her proud parents Thomas Murrell Dowell and Wanda Faye Rodgers. Toni left this life gaining her wings at the young age of 59 on July 1st 2024 at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City Kansas.

Growing up in Texas Longhorn Country, Toni was a graduate of Bastrop High School in 1983. Toni D loved to work and make her own money and so it began in her early teens with the family business, then on to managing a local Sonic Drive In. Three opportunities followed in her stellar career with the first being a General Manager with Pizza Hut Incorporated for 12 years. Twelve more years followed with Chili’s as a GM Managing Partner and then culminating with a wonderful 12-year career in family entertainment at Main Event. Toni began her journey with Main Event as a manager in Austin Texas and soon became the GM. Toni was tabbed General Manager Of The Year in 2014. Relocation followed with company expansion into Missouri where Toni opened the first Kansas City area location as a GM in Independence. As Main Event continued its growth Toni’s next opportunity was the opening of the first Florida location in Orlando. In the three years that followed Toni earned a promotion to Regional Operations Director and a return visit to Kansas City in 2019 to present. Toni D was named Regional Operations Director Of The Year in March of this year.

Toni married her husband Gene on July 25th 1988 in Las Vegas Nevada. Today marks their 36th Anniversary. Toni and Gene raised four children, Nolan, Heather, Tiffany, and Whitnei.

Outside of her work family who she loved dearly, Toni adores animals of all kinds especially her fur babies Dallas, Halo, and Hail Mary Grace. Toni enjoyed and followed all sports in Austin, Dallas, and Kansas City LIVE or on the tube. She was the kid’s biggest fan as they played in high school and college. A lover of LIVE MUSIC in KC, Toni loved her fave band trio The Vincents. She called Chase, Dustin, and Kellan her other boys. TD was a huge fan of the slots at any casino. She seemed to always have Lady Luck on her side. It’s like she would walk up to the machine, have a brief conversation of how it was gonna be, and then the winning began. So many great Date Nights watching her win and smile.

Toni is survived by her adoring and loving husband Gene of 36 years and PePaw Kenneth of Greenwood Missouri. Big Son Nolan Donehoo & Nichole Prado of El Paso Texas. Precious Daughter Heather and husband John Bailey of Austin Texas. Daughter Tiffany and husband Ben Doolan of Wylie Texas. Daughter Whitnei and Josh Price of Rockwall Texas. Five grandchildren, Abigail & Olivia of El Paso Texas, Ryleigh & Braden of Wylie Texas, and Tilly of Rockwall Texas. Brother Michael & Cathy Rodgers of Jiba Texas and Brother Ronnie & Jean Rodgers of Allen Texas. Along with nieces, nephews, and cousins. What can I say about Toni that isn’t already known by everyone. That she’s one of the sweetest people God decided to grace us with? Nope everyone knows that. That she’s just as beautiful inside as she is outside? Nope everyone knows that too. I could go on but I think it’s pretty obvious that there was nothing about Toni that was hidden from anyone. Toni you was a rare treasure from heaven. I’m going to miss you until we see each other again. I love you
