Terry Lee Crider was born July 15, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on November 9, 2015 at his home in Pleasant Hill, surrounded by his beloved family, at the age of 60 years, 3 months and 25 days.
He was the son of Elmer A. and Mary E. (Clements) Crider. Terry spent his entire lifetime in Pleasant Hill, graduating from Pleasant Hill High School in 1973. On November 11, 1978 Terry was united in marriage with Tammy Sue Rogers in Pleasant Hill and to this union two children were born.
Until declining health forced his retirement, Terry was a Maintenance Supervisor for Vanguard Packaging.
Terry was a hard working man who loved and cherished his family. He was a loyal and true friend, and always quick to help those in need. He liked to spend his spare time at the Pleasant Hill City Lake, fishing and pitching horseshoes. He was a member of the Horseshoe League of Pleasant Hill.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Elmer A. Crider on December 10, 1993; his mother Mary E. (Clements) Crider on April 24, 2004 and one brother Charlie Crider on May 19, 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy S. (Rogers) Crider of the home; one son, Jacob Crider of Pleasant Hill; one daughter Jessica (Crider) Ireland and husband Bransen of Nashville, Tennessee; two brothers, Jerry Crider and wife Melba of Osceola, Missouri and Ricky Crider and wife Cindy of Lake Ozark, Missouri; two sisters, Janis Crider of Roach, Missouri and Cathy Smith of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandsons, Brayden and Cash Ireland, other relatives and many, many friends.
As Terry treasured his time spent at the Pleasant Hill City Lake, the family felt it only fitting to host a “Celebration of Life Service” at that location at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015, to honor his memory and “a life well lived”.
