Randall M. “Randy” Necessary

Randall Miles “Randy” Necessary was born November 1, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on January 14, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 13 days.

He was the son of George Richard and Mary (Collins) Necessary.

Randy spent his younger years in Kansas City, Missouri graduating from Rockhurst High School in 1968. He attended the University of Missouri at Rolla, Missouri where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Randy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Randy returned to the Kansas City area and took a position with Kansas City Power and Light Company as an electrical engineer.

When Randy was young, he was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid card player, baseball fan, and enjoyed building intricate model ships and guns.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Necessary.

He is survived by one son, Bryan Miles Necessary and wife Angela of Gig Harbor, Washington; two daughters, Michelle Necessary and Scott Sparker of Lake Stevens, Washington, and Brittani Lynn Schmidt and husband Troy of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Terry Ware and husband Allan of Springfield, Missouri; two nieces, Jennifer Hawkins and husband James of Columbia, Missouri, and Sara Ferguson of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren, Ava, Ella, Richard, Robert, Brooke, Lora, and Ronnie.

A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors, for Randall Miles “Randy” Necessary, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Lone Jack Cemetery, Lone Jack, Missouri with Father Kurt Vogel, officiating. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force and V.F.W. Post #3118 Honor Guard of Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
