MICHAEL ALAN COX
Michael Alan Cox was born March 3, 1979 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on August 12, 2023 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, at the age of 44 years, 5 months and 9 days.
He was the son of Kathryn Virginia “Kathy” (Shirk) Cox.
Michael spent his younger years in the Grandview, Missouri area and graduated from Grandview High School. After graduation, Michael attended the Herndon Career Center in Raytown, Missouri.
Michael leaves behind his mother, Kathryn Virginia “Kathy” Cox of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and one son, Skyler James Davis of Raymore, Missouri.
Cremation has been accorded. No services are scheduled.

I wish to extend my deepest condolences to family and friends at the passing of your loved one.
My heart goes out to Aunt KitKat and Skyler. I’ve known Mikey since before I was born. He’s always been a big brother to me and I have always loved him like family. Gone to soon but will never be forgotten.
You will be missed by so many Mikey! All the great memories we have growing up together. Hard to think about a time in my childhood that you weren’t right there with me. I’m blessed to have you as family. All the over nights we had together, riding bikes, swinging on our swing set. You are so loved. One of my first best friends. Thinking of you always. Rest well in heaven.
