Mary Lou (Baldwin) Triplett was born October 16, 1934 in East Lynne, Missouri and departed this life on July 10, 2020 at Carnegie Village Care Center at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 24 days.
She was the daughter of Cloyd Harold and Laura Heloise (Bell) Baldwin.
Mary Lou spent her younger years on the family farm in East Lynne, Missouri and attended grade school in East Lynne. Mary Lou graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1952. After graduation, she worked at B. W. Hooker Pharmacy and Drug Store in Pleasant Hill.
On August 4, 1955, Mary Lou was united in marriage with Richard Lee Triplett in Boise City, Oklahoma and they made their home in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Mary Lou took great pride in being a wife, mother and an impeccable homemaker.
After her only child, Lindon, was older and in school, Mary Lou did work for a short time at Western Electric in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Mary Lou loved being a mother, but when her son Lindon married, she gained a “daughter”, Stacey, who she dearly loved and, when her only grandchild, Rachel, arrived, her life was complete.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Triplett on March 11, 2008; her parents, Cloyd Harold and Laura Heloise Baldwin; brother, Robert Baldwin, and two sisters, Helen Baldwin and Arlene Leslie.
She is survived by her son Lindon Triplett and wife Stacey of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; her granddaughter, Rachel Triplett of Junction City, Kansas; one niece, Cindy (Leslie) Thornton and husband Brad, of Odessa, Missouri; one nephew, Steve Leslie and wife Mary of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, other relatives and many friends.
The family of Mary Lou (Baldwin) Triplett will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim Casteel officiating. Casket Bearers will be Clint Webb, Bob Corbett, Seth Corbett and Trenton Clarke. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
