LINDA SUE (Madison) DUFF

Linda Sue (Madison) Duff was born October 29, 1947 in Rockford, Illinois and departed this life on August 11, 2024 at Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, Missouri, surrounded by the love of her family, at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 13 days.

She was the daughter of George Ernest and Thelma Ann (McVickers) Madison.

Linda attended Southeast High School in Cherokee, Kansas where she played on the very first girls softball team. Later, Linda became co-owner of Nick’s Outfitters in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

Linda enjoyed fishing, crafts and all things pertaining to the Kansas City Chiefs. She was also an avid animal lover and rescued many animals throughout her lifetime.

Linda was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took great pride in her family and spent as much time as she could with each and every one of them.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Geroge Ernest and Thelma Ann Madison; one daughter, Christina Spragg; three brothers, Bob Madison, Jerry Madison and Steve Madison, and two granddaughters, Brittney and Danielle.

She is survived by her partner of 37 years, Randy Nicholson of the home; one son, Robert Spragg of Cherokee, Kansas; five grandchildren, Stephany Jones, Trisha Ruddick, Shannon Spragg, Trey Spragg and Sage Spragg; 21 great-grandchildren, Rayne, Starah, Stori, Quindre, Tyus, Kaydynce, Ava, Cohen, Karder, Kateleigh, Addaleigh, Kace, Khonor, Noah, Presley, Rubi, Taleah, Lydia, Taelynn, Lyric and Kage; other relatives and many friends.

The family of Linda Sue (Madison) Duff will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 19, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Funeral Service will immediately follow, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Terry Sims officiating. Casket Bearers will be John Wiley, Michael Wiley, Kalvin Mahoney, Jeff Mahoney, Shannon Spragg, Trey Spragg and Sage Spragg. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Animal Clinic for the benefit of the Pleasant Hill Animal Shelter and may be left at the funeral home. Donations can also be made by phone to the Pleasant Hill Animal Clinic, but please specify it is for the benefit of the Pleasant Hill Animal Shelter account.
