LEONARD RANDALL KIMBALL

Leonard “Doc” Randall “Randy” Kimball, 71, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at his home on June 16, 2024.

Randy was born on August 15, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to Glennyn and Ruth Kimball.

He was an Eagle Scout and continued in the Boy Scouts as an Explorer, and  graduated from Ruskin Senior High School in 1970.

Randy attended Longview College, Emporia State Teacher’s College and the UMKC Conservatory of Music. He worked as an electrician, musician, technician, trucker and an instructor.

He had a passion for electronics, ham radio and musical instruments.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Glennyn Cecil Kimball (1924 – 2016) and Ruth Wilma Rabine Wills Kimball (1920 – 1987), half-brother, Richard “Richie” Wills (1940 – 1957), and numerous dogs and cats.

He is survived by nephew Alexander Kimball (Martina), niece Kathrine Kimball Wiedmann (Matt), great-nephews Axel Kimball and Ryker Wiedmann, great-nieces Adley Wiedmann and River Kimball, great brother Ronald Kimball, great cousins Kent Weisenborn (Mary Lou), and Sheila Weisenborn, and dog Snoopy.

A Celebration of Life is being considered.

    73 Randy! I’ll miss you my friend. 😭 28 years friendship was a long time. I hope you are at peace , no longer suffering and with our Lord in heaven. I’d like to thank you for the countless hours helping me with music and radio. Very few would ever understand the connection we had with each other. I was there with you the day you lost your pops. And I regret that we sadly lost touch the last few years it seemed. You will be loved and missed Randy. Until we meet again! WR0S …-.-

    Randy was always in my thoughts and I will never forget what we had many many years ago. I am sad for anyone that feels this unexpected loss
