KARON SUE (Page) SHEWMAKER
Karon Sue (Page) Shewmaker, 78, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri was born March 22, 1946, in Seneca, Missouri to James Junior Page and Lula (Lou) Mae (Testerman) Page. She departed this life Friday, March 7, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, surrounded by the love of her family.
Karon was a 1964 Pleasant Hill High School graduate. On August 21, 1964, Karon was united in marriage to the love of her life, Sammy Shewmaker, in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Karon and Sammy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2024.
Karon worked at Unity Village in Lee’s Summit, Missouri for over 43 years. After retirement, she enjoyed her family, watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals and was an avid General Hospital fan.
Karon was known for her unwavering love and support of her family and friends and most especially to Sammy, Angie, Michael and Allie. She was a jokester, quirky and giving. A truly beautiful person, inside and out.
Karon was preceded in death by her mother, Lula (Lou) Mae Anderson.
She is survived by her husband, Sammy; daughter, Angie Dumas (John Lewin); grandson, Michael Dumas; granddaughter, Allie Dumas; sister, Sharon Chaney; sister, Pam Aeby (Jerry); sister, Nancy Lancaster (John); many nieces and nephews, and her granddog, Veda. Karon loved them all.
Cremation has been accorded.
The family of Karon Sue (Page) Shewmaker will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Wallace Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Butch Shewmaker officiating. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Contributions are suggested to St. Luke’s Hospice House or Pleasant Hill Meals on Wheels and may be left at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear this. Karon worked with my Mother at Unity and my Mom thought a lot of her. Prayers for her family.

Aunt Karon was such a gentle soul. The last time I saw her was when she came over to watch Aunt Betty until I got there, I knew it was a sacrifice for her. She was easy to talk to & always had a hug 🥰 for me as the rest of the family did as well. I’ve been praying 🙏 for Uncle Sammy, Angie & family. Sending my love ♥️ to the whole family. May God watch over the rest of the family & bring them comfort & peace.
