JERRY BRINER

Jerry Briner, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 18, 2023 at Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born December 2, 1940, in Kingsville MO, to Arthur and Dorothy (Jones) Briner. 

Jerry was a 1958 graduate of Kingsville High School.  After graduation, Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army, as an MP, in Germany for several years.

On August 30, 1963, Jerry married the love of his life, Patricia Yvonne Irwin and they were happily married for 49 years.  He worked at General Motors and was a part of the UAW local #31 for 31 years when he retired in 1993. 

Jerry, retiring at 53 led him to enjoy his life to the fullest by spending much of his time with the love of his life in Fort Myers Beach, Florida where he enjoyed going to the beach, being social and spending time with friends and helping his wife Patty with her many line dancing classes.  People enjoyed his presence because he always made people laugh and was a joy to be around.  

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Patty, his parents, his brother Harold and sister Peggy. He is survived by his sons, Gregory Briner(Jennifer), Bradley Briner and daughter Lindsay Kietzmann(Brian); four granddaughters, Morgan LaMasters(Tim), Ryleigh Briner, Avery Briner, Isabella Kietzmann; two grandsons, Joshua Briner, Gage Kietzmann; two great grandchildren (Asher, Emmie); one brother, William “Bill” Briner; one sister, Bobbie Sack; and countless extended family members and friends. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home. Funeral Service will immediately follow, at 1:00 p.m.  at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Messer officiating. Casket Bearers will be Brad Briner, Greg Briner, Brian Kietzmann, Jeff Ellis, Chad Tripp and Joshua Briner. Burial, with full Military Honors, will follow at Floral East Memorial Gardens.

    very sorry about jerry we have been out of town. he was a great person. i knew his parents and all the his brothers and sisters
