JAMES RICHARD “Jim” FIDLER

James Richard “Jim” Fidler was born December 5, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on March 26, 2024 at Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, surrounded by the love of his family, at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 21 days.

He was the son of James Dean and Edith Mae (Giffin) Fidler.

Jim spent most of his younger years in the Pleasant Hill, Missouri area, graduating from Pleasant Hill High School in 1972.

For most of his adult life, Jim was a machine operator, first for Alton Box Company in Blue Springs, Missouri and then for International Paper in Kansas City, Missouri. Due to declining health, Jim retired in 2021.

When his health permitted, Jim enjoyed fishing. Later, he enjoyed watching television.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Edith Fidler.

He is survived by two brothers, Kenneth W. Fidler and wife Darlus of Garden City, Missouri and Fred Fidler and wife Kathy of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; one sister, Ruth Garrison and husband Dan of Raytown, Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

A Graveside Service and Inurnment for James Richard “Jim” Fidler will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Bethel Campground Cemetery in Edwards Missouri, with Rev. James Stanfield-Myers officiating.
