Gearl Dean Hutson was born April 29, 1945 in Fulton County, Arkansas and departed this life on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his sister’s home in Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 1 day.
He was the son of Thurlo Walter and Ella Faye (Crotts) Hutson.
Gearl spent his younger years in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, graduating from Pleasant Hill High School in 1963.
Gearl was a talented musician. He not only had his own band, J. C. Trio, but played with many other well-known musical artists throughout the years.
In 1985, Gearl was united in marriage to Debbie Davidson, where he gained a daughter, Michelle.
Gearl was a fun-loving man who never knew a stranger and had a wonderful heart.
Gearl was preceded in death by his father, Thurlo Hutson; his mother, Ella Faye Roberts, and daughter, Jammie Arnold.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Keith and husband Mike of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; his sister, Glenda Springer of Harrisonville, Missouri; granddaughter, Amanda Keith of Kansas City, Missouri; grandson, Austin Keith of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
Cremation was accorded. Per Gearl’s wishes, no services are scheduled at this time.

So Sorry for your loss. He played music with my step dad Blake Sloan and his kids for many years. He came in to my mom’s Cafe one time barefooted and she made him wrap papertowels on his feet so he could stay and eat!!! He had been out all night and didn’t want to go home til he ate… It was rather comical.

Sorry for your loss. I knew Geral back in the late 60’s and early 70’s . I went to bars to hear him play, and enjoyed it! He also worked for my brother in the day time setting up forms and pouring curb and gutter, and did great work!
Gearl was a great friend to my husband Ron Slover and myself.Our girls loved him. He played a lot of music with Ron over the years and we had so many good times.Wished I’d known he was in Harrisonville would of come to see him. So sorry for your loss

I was sure sorry to find this obituary. He played music with my husband Dave, we made so many good `memories over the years, He will be missed.
