Donald Howard Clouser, 95, of Pleasant Hill, MO, passed away on December 12, 2020.
Mr. Clouser was born on September 11, 1925 in Hiawatha, KS to Hugh Richard Clouser and Ella Pauline (Webb) Clouser. He grew up and graduated high school in Hiawatha, KS.
He was united in marriage with Lois Eileen (Owen) Clouser on November 25, 1949 in Hiawatha, KS. They moved to Pleasant Hill, MO in 1971.
Mr. Clouser served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Yakutat (AVP-32) during WWII, as a 1st class Seaman, in the South Pacific from 1943-1946, and as a 3rd class Metalsmith, in Seattle, Washington, during the Korean War, from 1950-1952.
He was a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Pleasant Hill, MO where he helped with Meals on Wheels for many years, and a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #3118 of Pleasant Hill, MO.
Mr. Clouser was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Hugh Clouser, his wife, Lois Eileen Clouser, and one great-grandson, Jared Dale Jones.
He is survived by two daughters, Paula Christine Smith and Marsha Lynn Jones, both of Pleasant Hill, MO, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Due to the covid-19 pandemic, a private family graveside service will be held. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church of Pleasant Hill, MO or to Pleasant Hill Meals on Wheels.

Makes my heart sad to hear this. Don was a beautiful person and the world will be a colder place without him. So sorry for your loss.

What a wonderful Uncle, father, husband and grandfather he was!! So proud to say he was my Uncle! So sorry I was unaware of his passing! Much love to you, Uncle Don! I’m sure you and my Dad are having a grand reunion in Heaven! Much love to the family and prayers for healing!!
