CATHI SUZANNE (Craft) WOOD
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Cathi Suzanne (Craft) Wood, who left us on November 23, 2024, at the age of 60, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Cathi, born on December 30, 1963, in Independence, MO, was a free spirit with an insatiable curiosity for life. Always seeking new adventures, she embraced the world with compassion, love, and a boundless sense of wonder.
Cathi was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a radiant smile that could light up any room and a heart that was always ready to help those in need. Her joy was found in the simple pleasures of life—being by the water, rummage sales, visiting the casino, and traveling. But what she cherished most was the time spent with her life partner, Michael, and their beloved dog, Bully.
Her family and friends will forever carry her memory and the lessons she taught them about love, strength, and living life fully. Cathi is survived by her partner, Michael David Fine; children, Travis Lee Rogers and Kyle Andrew Anderson; sisters, Carolyn Cavette Kirkman (Warren) and Cimberly Deana Gudde (Dwayne); grandchildren, Collin Rogers, Chase Rogers, Brandon Martin (Rogers), Trenton Hicks (Rogers), Brandon Smith (Anderson), Hailey Anderson, and Micheal Anderson; great-grandchildren, Beau Rogers and Everleigh Rogers; niece Molly Renea McClaughry (Gudde) Trevor; nephews Caleb Ross Gudde, Jacob Ryan Gudde (Sarah), Devin Reed Gudde, Zackary Arthur Craft Kirkman, and Ezekiel Elijah Dean Kirkman, along with many other loved ones who will remember her fondly.
Cathi was preceded in death by her parents, Claudia Lucille Greenwood (Craft) and Calvin Jr. Craft; maternal grandparents, Katheryne (Kay) Mae Wood (Ross) and Claude Thomas Greenwood; paternal grandparents, Lavada Edward Duke, Vernon (Henry), and Willie Lafitte Craft; and her dear aunt Sharon (Pennie) Aline Bryant (Greenwood).
Cathi’s spirit will forever be a guiding light as we continue on our own journeys, carrying her love and strength with us always.
