Burgandy Rose (Adams) Thomas was born June 16, 1992, in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on April 20, 2022, in Bucyrus, Kansas at the age of 29 years, 10 months and 4 days.
She was the daughter of David Leonard Adams and Toye Roxanne Hunter.
Burgandy spent her younger years in Cleveland, Missouri and attended Cass Midway School. Her senior year, she moved to Belton, Missouri and graduated from Belton High School in 2010.
Burgandy worked several places after she graduated, before taking the position of receptionist at the Bambou Salon and Day Spa in Overland Park, Kansas, where she had worked for the past 8 years. Burgandy not only enjoyed working at the Bambou Salon and Day Spa, but she enjoyed spending time outside of work with her “work sisters”.
On August 22, 2015, Burgandy was united in marriage with Jeremy Wayne Thomas at the Overland Park Arboretum in Overland Park, Kansas, and they made their home in Peculiar, Missouri.
Burgandy had a fun loving, wild, sassy and a little bit crazy personality, and she also had a “sweet tooth”. She was well known for showing up unannounced at her sister’s homes to raid their refrigerators or drive thirty miles to eat a piece of cake if she knew one of them had baked that day. She was also an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan.
Above all else, Burgandy loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved and was extremely proud of her sons.
Burgandy was preceded in death by; her mother, Toye Roxanne Click; Meemaw and Papa, Karen and Carl Nannen and, one brother, Joshua James Hunter.
She is survived by her husband Jeremy Wayne Thomas of the home; two sons, Keegan Mikel Rodgers and Kayson Roy Thomas both of the home; stepdaughter, Madyson Olivia Loluna Thomas; father, David L. Adams of Missouri; her dad, Clinton Mitchell Click of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Papa, Freeman Hunter of Peculiar, Missouri; sisters, Amanda Adams of Kansas City, Missouri, Nichole Lynn Hunter of Peculiar, Missouri, Asia Michelle Murray of Adrian, Missouri, Jami Kay Hunter of Ohio, and Nia Hartford of Florida; uncle, Derek Hunter of Cleveland, Missouri; aunt, Barbara VanSchepen and husband Joel of Raymore, Missouri; her “work sisters”; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
The family of Burgandy Rose (Adams) Thomas will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2022, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Wallace Funeral Home with Rev. Kent Deubner officiating. Casket Bearers will be T.J. McIntire, Joshua-James McIntire, Zac Clary, Joshua Adams, Jamie Murray, Jesse Graef, Casey Click and Jordan VanSchepen. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Glenwild Cemetery.

My heart absolutely breaks for all that knew and loved Burgandy. She will be greatly-greatly missed but never forgotten. Our Queen Bee, the friendly face of our salon, the funny and kind friend and work-sister that lived in the moment and made everyone feel as if they were loved, special, and unique. Her presence will always be felt. Love you big Burg!
