Anna C. (Pfaff) Ash was born January 26, 1935 in Cass County, Missouri and entered Heaven’s Gate on December 27, 2016 at Shangri-La Rehab and Living Center in Blue Springs, Missouri, at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 1 day.
She was the daughter of Edward Louie “Eddie” and Rosalie (Chipley) Pfaff.
On January 11, 1952 she was united in marriage with Billie F. Ash in Lee’s Summit, Missouri and spent the next 16 years of her life as an Air Force wife, living in many states and countries where her husband was stationed. Mr. Ash was last stationed at Richards Gebaur Air Force Base before his retirement, which brought the family back to the Cass County area. Mr. Billie Ash preceded Anna in death on August 2, 1989. At the time of his death they had been married for 39 years.
Mrs. Ash obtained her LPN Degree from Truman Medical Center and worked several places including John Knox Village, Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center, and Lee’s Summit Hospital before her retirement in 1990. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ash was preceded in death by one son, Michael W. Ash; one granddaughter, Anna Kathleen Perigo; one great granddaughter, Gabriella Marie Miller; her parents, Eddie and Rosalie Pfaff; one brother, Lee Roy Pfaff and one sister, Judith Hoover.
She is survived by her children, Garry Ash and wife Delores of Pleasant Hill, MO, Patricia Crease and husband Kenneth of Lee’s Summit, MO, John Ash of Blue Springs, MO, Kathy Ash-Howell and husband Mike of Independence, MO, and Sherri Ash also of Independence, MO. 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside Service for Mrs. Anna C. (Pfaff) Ash will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Pastor Ron Lewis officiating. Casket Bearers will be Steven Ash, Gene Walker II, Scott Ash, Gabriel Arnold, Nicholas Miller and Jeremy Miller.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, MO. Contributions In Memory of Anna Ash, may be made to the Wallace Funeral Home.
