VINCENT KIRK ANDERSON

Vincent Kirk Anderson was born August 24, 1960 in Harrisonville, Missouri and departed this life on October 11, 2024 at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa in Lenexa, Kansas, at the age of 64 years, 1 month and 17 days.

He was the son of Melvin George and Mary Martha (Peresko) Anderson.

Vincent spent his younger years in Holden, Missouri, graduating from Holden High School in 1978. In 1980, Vincent joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country until 1985 when he took an early honorable discharge to return home and raise his children.

Vincent worked as a millwright for most of his life, working several places including Stahl’s Specialty Company in Kingsville, Missouri.

Vincent enjoyed fishing, hiking and drawing. He also enjoyed cooking, and loved creating new culinary delights to try out on his family. Some received rave reviews, some, not so much.

Above all else, Vincent loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with them and always looked forward to the holidays when all would gather. His favorite holidays were the 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mary Anderson; three brothers, Carl Anderson, Mark Anderson and John Anderson; two sisters, Jenny Boyer and Marsha Miller; brother-in-law, Robert Miller and sister-in-law, Cheryl Anderson.

He is survived by sons, Jacob Anderson and Elijah Anderson (Tiffany) all of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; daughters, Janolyn Michael (Brent), Tiffany Groom (Michael) and Amanda Anderson all of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; brothers, Gerald Anderson of Raymore, Missouri, Ernie Anderson of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Melvin Anderson of Cameron, Missouri and Eric Anderson of Warrensburg, Missouri; brother-in-law, Judd Boyer of Centerview, Missouri; sisters, Liz Brown (Donald) of Holden, Missouri and Teresa Anderson of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; sister’s-in-law, Carol (Williams) Anderson of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Christy (Graybell) Anderson of Peculiar, Missouri; grandchildren, Justin Michael, Nathan Michael, Payton Michael, Peter Newman, Mary Newman, Joseph Groom, Grayson Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Charles Anderson, Grace Anderson, Evelynn Freelen, Samuel Parvin, Xander Brune and Ella Brune; great-grandchildren, Avery Michael and Harper Michael, other relatives and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

The family of Vincent Kirk Anderson will host a Celebration of Life Visitation on November 2, 2024 at V.F.W. Post #3118, 1701 Country Club Drive, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy and V.F.W. Post #3118 Honor Guard at 2:00 P.M. followed immediately by a Celebration of Life Visitation until 4:00 P.M.
