FEDDIE YOUNCE

Feddie Younce, was born January 12, 1952 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri and departed this life on September 20, 2024 at Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 8 days.

He was the son of Venice and Mary L. (Bryant) Younce.

Feddie spent most of his life in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, graduating from Pleasant Hill High School in 1970. On January 12, 1971, Feddie was united in marriage with Cheri Lynn Kennedy at the First Christian Church of Pleasant Hill. After their marriage, they made their home in Pleasant Hill, except for a brief time when they lived in Kansas.

Feddie worked several places throughout his working career including Chuck’s Disposal Service in Pleasant Hill. Later he took a position with Sanofi Aventis Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company as a pharmaceutical manufacturing technician. Feddie retired from Sanofi Aventis in January of 2014.

In his younger years, Feddie was very active in youth sports, coaching many baseball teams for the Pleasant Hill Parks and Recreation League.

Feddie looked forward to spending time at his lake house at Lake Chaparral where he enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, and entertaining his family. He enjoyed family card games and going to Bass Pro (whether he bought anything or not). Feddie never met a stranger and would talk to anyone. He also had the reputation of being the family jokester.

Feddie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was never happier than when he was surrounded by his family. He always attended all sporting events in which any member of his family participated and was their greatest supporter.

Feddie was preceded in death by, his wife, Cheri Lynn (Kennedy) Younce; parents, Venice and Mary L. Younce and brother, Joe Younce.

He is survived by three sons, Denzil Lee Younce and wife Brandi of Lemon Cove, California, Thomas Scott Younce and wife Kathy Wilson of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, and Timothy Allen Younce of Clinton, Missouri; one daughter, Anastasia Marie Younce of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; brother, Sam Younce and wife Cheryl of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; sister, Dona Marie Agcopra of Holden, Missouri; 17 grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren; about a million cousins, nieces and nephew, other relatives and many friends.

The family of Feddie Younce will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Tuesday. October 1, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Jeff Faulkenberry officiating. Casket Bearers will be William Johnson, Jason Kennedy, Joseph Huffman, Chris Blake, Aaron Agcopra, Clint Younce, Lance Younce and Michael Ridge. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

    I’m so Sorry of the loss of Feddie. I went to school with Feddie like so many others did. He was always nice and friendly. I enjoyed visiting with him when I seen him around town.     I’m so sorry for your loss. Back in the day, I tried so hard to get ahead of Feddies joking but he got me everytime. We all had some good times. He’s at peace with your mom now. ❤️

    I’m so sorry for your loss, Feddie was a very good friend of mine 😢, i will always cherish the memories of hunting, fishing, playing ball with and against Feddie.     So sorry for your loss. Anastasia came to my daycare since she was 18 months old. All the children loved Feddie. He’d stay and play for hours unless he was going fishing! Anastasia didn’t always like to share him! Sending prayers to you all.

    Feddie was such a light to this world. I enjoyed taking care of him 3x a week. His witty fun spirit brought so many smiles to so many faces and a ton of laughter as well! I pray for the family he leaves behind. May you all find comfort in the memories.
