NAOMI LORENE (Henry) HOOK

Naomi L. Hook age 83 of Lee’s Summit, MO departed this life on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Kansas City Hospice, Kansas City, MO.

 

Naomi is survived by her husband of 63 years, George E. Hook and her sister Dorothy Flory.

Children, Suzanne Schnorf (Curt) and Roxanne Inderlied (Bill).

Grandchildren, Heather Phoenix (Jerry), Angie Kroeger (Mike), Ryan Inderlied (Amy), and Aaron Inderlied (Amy).

Great Grandchildren, Justin Phoenix, Levi Phoenix, Wyatt Phoenix, Clayton Phoenix, Eli Kroeger, Abby Kroeger, Elise Inderlied, Lily Inderlied, Joel Inderlied and Caleb Inderlied.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Harrison Henry and Edna Lorene Ellerman Henry.  Siblings, Donald Henry, Vivian Hoerner, and Alfred Henry.

 

Naomi was born March 7, 1939 in Nortonville, KS.  She attended school in Nortonville, KS and graduated in 1957.  She lived in Kansas City, MO and worked at the Bendix Corp. from 1957 to 1960.  She went on a date with George because he had a ski boat, and they were later married on September 4, 1959.  They moved from Kansas City, MO to the farm in Garden City, MO in 1960.  Naomi and George enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, water skiing, square dancing, and gardening.  She also loved to knit. They moved from the farm to Lee’s Summit, MO in 2008.

George was blessed to have found the perfect helpmate.

 

A Celebration of Naomi Lorene (Henry) Hook’s Life will begin with a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Smart Rd. Church of Christ, 13105 Smart Road, Lee’s Summit, Missouri 64086, with Evangelist John Lee, officiating. The Eulogy will be given by Mr. Joe Henry. Casket Bearers will be Jerry Phoenix, Justin Phoenix, Levi Phoenix, Wyatt Phoenix, Clayton Phoenix and Mike Kroeger. Honorary Bearers are Ryan Inderlied and Aaron Inderlied. Burial will immediately follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, 1602 Ranson Rd. Greenwood, Missouri.

Family suggests donations be made to the Kansas City Hospice House or the Smart Rd. Church of Christ.

    She was our neighbor for a lot of years. Always there when I needed to talk. I am sorry I didn’t know sooner.
