Jacob Alan Kruse was born June 23, 1998 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life, unexpectedly, on May 5, 2015 at Belton Regional Medical Center, Belton Missouri, at the age of 16 years, 10 months and 12 days. He was the son of Walter Lynn Kruse and Janette Kay (Tate) Kruse.
Jacob was a lifetime resident of Cass County, Missouri and currently was a member of the sophomore class of Raymore Peculiar High School. He had participated in many school activities throughout the years including football, wrestling, rugby and marching band. Jacob was a member of Cass County 4-H and a former member of Boy Scout Troops 621 and 245, Peculiar, Missouri. He was also a member of Saved By Grace Fellowship of Raymore, Missouri.
Jacob enjoyed anything to do with “being outdoors”, especially fishing. He treasured his time and adventures with his family and friends, touching many more lives than he ever knew.
Jacob was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard Lynn and Cleatus Marie Kruse; maternal grandfather, Timothy Tate and one step-brother, Indy Raymo.
He is survived by his father, Walter Lynn Kruse and wife, Rená of Peculiar, Missouri; his mother, Janette Kay Kruse and Gradey Raymo of Trenton, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Larry and Juanita Walker of Belton, Missouri; three brothers, Steven Tate of Cameron, Missouri, Michael Kruse of Warrensburg, Missouri and William Kruse of Peculiar, Missouri; three step-brothers, Riley Raymo and Laramy Raymo both of Trenton, Missouri and Rusty Raymo of Wichita, Kansas; four step-sisters, Cortney Gilkeson and Kirstin Dowell both of Independence, Missouri, Lana Raymo of Trenton, Missouri and Leah Batt of Wichita, Kansas; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.
The family will welcome visitors on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Funeral service will follow immediately at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Coffman officiating. Cremation will be accorded following service.
